Residential Investment Mortgages

Like a standard mortgage - this is a long term loan (mortgage) secured by residential property. The key difference is that the purpose is use the property as a short to medium term investment, rather than as a specific personal dwelling. The finance is structured to minimise cost by only paying the interest of the mortgage. The mortgage would be paid back in either a change to the arrangement or on sale of the property.
